Commercial grain on 37 hectares
Crops
We grow wheat, barley, maize, sunflower, soybeans and millet. Our crop rotation changes every year depending on soil condition, moisture reserves and the market. We use seed of Ukrainian breeding.
We alternate cereals with oilseeds and legumes: soybeans return nitrogen to the soil, while sunflower and millet use moisture in different ways.
Technology
No-Till. We do not plough: seed is drilled into untilled soil covered with crop residues. This conserves moisture, stops erosion and maintains soil structure.
Binary sowing. Two crops in one planting work for each other — the growing area is used more efficiently and less space is left for weeds.
Five operations in a single pass. Our upgraded SZ-3.6 seed drill with turbo discs performs up to five field operations at once.
Where our produce goes
We work with the Bespalivka grain elevator and an oil extraction plant. Part of the harvest is sold straight from the field.
We do not have our own storage yet — it is the next step in the farm’s development.
